Understanding Completion Rate

Completion rate is one of the most important metrics in your toolkit.

Definition: The average percentage of your story readers finish after starting.

Steps:

  1. Go to Insights → look for the Traffic Overview section and see the Avg Completion.

  2. Example: If one reader finishes 30% and another finishes 70%, your average completion rate is 50%.

  3. Track changes after you adjust covers, descriptions, or chapters.

A high completion rate means your story is sticky. A low rate signals where to revise.
